Every EyeC Proofiler comes with a very fast, high resolution scanner used to obtain high quality images of the print samples. Thanks to a technology patented by EyeC, the system automatically locates every sample or every “up” in a repeat, and verifies their content against the signed-off proof (typically a PDF file). Texts, graphics, color deviations, printed 1D and 2D codes (barcodes, data matrix codes, QR codes), as well as embossed and printed Braille are all checked for on all of the scanned samples in one inspection cycle.

The EyeC Proofiler identifies all typical defects with high precision, such as color deviations, mis-registers, press contamination, filled in characters, hickies, poor quality codes or Braille points. By performing a check against the approved artwork, it also provides a reliable content verification in any language, and prevents job mix-up.

In addition to ensuring process security, the EyeC Proofiler offers a fast solution for quality control. Thanks to its high level of automation and performant hardware, the EyeC Proofiler drastically reduces inspection time. The customer proof is automatically loaded based on the entered job data. Pre-defined parameter settings allow it to adapt to the inspection sensitivity for the different products’ requirements in one click. Even composite jobs, for instance front and back labels, can be checked against their corresponding PDFs in one click.
