Overview of EyeC's Various Software Solutions
From the first artwork to the final product, EyeC's inspection systems enable you to perform comprehensive quality control of your package inserts: during artwork creation and approval with the EyeC Proofiler Content, in pre-press with the EyeC Proofiler Graphic, during print approval and incoming goods inspection with the EyeC Proofiler, the EyeC Proofiler 900 - 1700 DT or the EyeC Proofbook. During the production process in the printing machine or in the finishing, you use the ProofRunner Web or the EyeC ProofRunner Sheetfed.
Unlike other systems on the market, EyeC's inspection systems automatically prevent the reverse side of the package insert from shining through - even with 40g/m2 paper. The systems find the smallest of defects without slowing down the operator with pseudo defects. Whether small font sizes or different languages and alphabets - nothing is missed by the EyeC systems.
Artwork and Pre-Press Checking
During the first two steps of package insert production, artwork creation and pre-press proofing, the first checks take place. EyeC Proofiler Content is used to inspect text, layout, barcodes, and even braille in a single inspection process. In doing so, you speed up the approval process considerably.
In the pre-press stage, you use EyeC Proofiler Graphic to detect any errors in your print files in time for printing plate production. As with the Proofiler Content, the checking process is PDF-based: this means that pre-press files are easily compared with approved customer files.
EyeC Workflow Integration allows you to connect EyeC's pre-press software to various workflow solutions to optimize operations.
Offline Inspection Systems
With offline inspection, you compare the printout from the press or a sample from incoming goods with the approved print template of the package insert by reading them into high-resolution scanners.
With the EyeC Proofiler, you reduce the inspection time for your package inserts by up to 5 minutes per inspection and thus ensure fast and efficient workflows. The system detects all types of damage, such as scratches, color deviations, or missing and run-in letters. Early detection of defects significantly reduces material waste.
With the EyeC Proofiler 900 - 1700 DT, the random inspection of package labels can be implemented even faster: Defects are detected at twice the speed and thus eliminated even faster. As a special feature, several measuring sections can be checked simultaneously with the same device.
The EyeC Proofbook is used to inspect multi-page documents such as package inserts, brochures, or catalogs. All front and back pages are compared with the approved PDF template in a single test run. The automatic feeder holds up to 200 pages, and you can check 20 pages per minute at 300 dpi.
Inline Inspection systems
Inline inspection of the package inserts takes place directly at the printing press or finishing machine.
For example, you can use the ProofRunner Web to inspect package inserts on rolls.
With the EyeC ProofRunner Sheetfed, image inspection takes place directly on the sheet-fed press, allowing you to significantly reduce production costs. The errors are thus detected in real-time, the error-free printed products are counted, and overproduction is prevented.
